Applications are invited for an available Research project or MSc bursary to commence in 2019 that is linked to a new project integrating physiology, genomics and ecology to understand how the striped mouse copes with increased aridity. The masters will more specifically address evolutionary ecology of the striped mice in the Soutpansberg Mountains, supervised by Prof Peter Taylor with a French co-supervisor, Prof Guila Ganem. Project funding is also available and a trip to University of Montpelier will be included, if the project is conducted as an MSc, in the second year. As projects will generally involve a fair amount of field work, preference will be given to candidates who can work independently and are well organised.
